Getting Started:
Would you like more information?
- Request more information by contacting the College or view our Facts Sheet.
- Check out our Programs of Study online or in the College Catalog.
- To estimate the cost of attending, view our Tuition & Fees. For specific program costs, please see the Estimated Expense Sheets available online for your program.
- For an in-depth look at SCC, you may schedule a campus tour, visit during Open House or register for and attend a campus event such as Discovery Days.
- Get your hands on a great education at SCC. You can Apply Now online or fill out a paper application and send it to the College.
Basic Steps for Admission
- Submit your high school or college transcripts and test scores to SCC at the same time you submit your application for admission.
- You will receive a letter from SCC telling you what admissions requirements are still needed. (If your application for admission is incomplete after six months, your application will be cancelled and you will receive notification on how to re-apply if you so choose.)
- There are no "standard admission requirements" for all programs. Each Program of Study has its own requirements. (i.e. some programs require a criminal background check.)
- If you have applied for a Program of Study, you will work with the Admissions Office (send Admissions an e-mail).
(If you only want to take individual classes, you will work with the Registrars/Registration & Records Office.)
- You will be assigned a student ID#. Your SCC ID# appears on all correspondence received from SCC.
- The Financial Aid Office will be responsible for communicating with each student about financial aid. Once you start the FAFSA process, you can track your progress on WebAdvisor.
- Once you have met all of your admission requirements, you will be given a specific guaranteed entry date for your program.
- Upon acceptance into a program you will receive an acceptance letter which must be signed and returned to the College within 14 days. (If you do not return your acceptance letter on time, your application will be cancelled and your spot will be given to another student.)
- A reply letter will be sent to you reminding you of your enrollment date and other information, including orientation dates.
